GAD Khalsa College Successfully Hosts National Seminar on IoT and Sustainable Economic Growth

The Department of Computer Science at Guru Arjan Dev Khalsa College recently achieved a major academic milestone by successfully organizing a comprehensive National Seminar titled “Internet of Things (IoT) as a Catalyst for Sustainable Economic Growth.” Hosted in esteemed collaboration with The Institution of Engineers (India) and functioning under the expert guidance of Dr. Baljeet Singh Khaira, Registrar of Jagat Guru Nanak Dev Punjab State Open University, the event served as a dynamic platform to explore the transformative power of emerging technologies.

The seminar commenced with a warm welcome address by Principal Dr. Harmandeep Singh, who passionately emphasized the critical necessity of integrating advanced technologies into modern educational frameworks. He highlighted that staying updated with tech trends is essential for holistic student development.

The highly anticipated keynote address was delivered by Dr. Gurvinder Singh, a distinguished Professor at Guru Nanak Dev University. He provided deep insights into the necessity of aligning academic curricula with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Dr. Singh strongly advocated for the inclusion of IoT studies to strengthen students’ practical skills and prepare them for a rapidly evolving global workforce.
